Johnson Custom Steel is a small operation based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The company hasn’t been around long but that does not affect my objective which is to produce high quality Damascus at an affordable price for all avid and inspiring knife makers. Currently, I have limited patterns and work with 1080 or 1084 (if I can find it) and 15N20. These are the two steels I prefer to work with and believe they are the easiest to anneal, harden, temper, and finish into beautiful Damascus knives. Hopefully, as I expand and experiment, I will have more patterns and a variety of Damascus billets available for sale. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy!
